This half term our topic is Flat Stanley. Poor Stanley was flattened when a bulletin board fell on him in the night. But it turns out that being flat can be quite an adventure! We will be looking at the continents and oceans as Stanley travels around the world, thinking about living things and how animals are suited to their different habitats. Flat Stanley will visit different museums and galleries allowing us to explore the work of Van Gogh, Kandinsky, William Morris, Andy Warhol, Picasso and Rousseau. As well as reading and writing stories about Flat Stanley we will be learning about letters and diaries. Our work in computing will give us the opportunity to write a newspaper report all about Flat Stanley’s adventures. A busy half term, in fact we’ll be working ‘flat’ out!!
Maths will cover: Time, Money, Length and Height, Place value (Yr 1), Graphs (Yr 2) and Multiplication, Division and Fractions.
We will be very busy but we are going to have lots of fun!
Thank you for your continued support.
