Welcome to ‘Tenacious Tuesday’! I hope you are all doing your best when completing your transition work. Remember, first impressions are very important!

I have set a transition task, a maths task and a science task.

Work for today is as follows:  

Maths:   Understand Percentages

Play the introductory quiz and then click on the play button to start the video. If your teacher asks you to pause the video and look at the worksheet you should:

Pause the video, click "Close Video", click "Next" to view the activity (worksheet).

Your video will re-appear on the next page, and will stay paused in the right place. When you have completed the questions, go back to the video and mark your work.

 

  • Play 5 Times Tables Rock Star games (Homework set as normal for the week).

 

  •  Transition Work:  

We are going to carry on with our transition work today. Complete the following pages:

TUXFORD: Complete page 8,9 & 10 today

DUKERIES: Page 5,6 & 7 today

 

  • Daily Activity:  What Impact are Humans Likely to Have on Life in the Future?  

We are going to carry on with our work on Science (Fossils and Animals Over time). We have already completed the first 5 lessons

Monstrous Monday medals menacingly! Here we are again, another brand new week! I hope you have had a fabulous weekend.

 

I have set a transition task, a maths task and a science task.

 

  Work for today is as follows:

  • Maths:

  - Log in to Classroom Secrets Kids. Go to the Year 6 tab at the top and hover on    

    Maths in the drop down list, go across and go down and click on ‘Arithmetic’.

a)- Click on: ‘Year 6 SATs Arithmetic Test Practice 15’ & ‘Year 6 SATs Arithmetic Test Practice 16’ and complete the test electronically. If you press ‘Check’ when you have filled in an answer, it will mark it as you go along. If you get an answer wrong, have another go.

b) Go to the Year 6 tab at the top and hover on Maths in the drop down list, go across and go down and click on ‘Video Tutorials’ and watch ‘Read and Interpret Pie Charts Video Tutorial’ & ’Pie Charts with Percentages Video Tutorial’

c) Go to the Year 6 tab at the top and hover on Maths in the drop down list, go across and go down and click on ‘Maths Games’ and complete ‘Y6 Read and Interpret Pie Charts Game’ and ‘Y6 Pie Charts with Percentages Game’

 

  • Play 5 Times Tables Rock Star games (Homework set as normal for the week).

 

  •    Transition Work:    Zoom Call for Y6 at home 10.30am

    Over the last 2 weeks of your time in primary school, we are going to complete some transition activities that have been set by your new secondary schools. We will carry out some work in your transition booklet, look at some videos and complete work on some personal qualities and some feelings you may encounter.

  • Complete the sheets attached. Make sure your work is your best as you need to take your booklet with you when you start in September.
