Admissions

 

Kneesall C of E Primary Academy is a member of the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham Multi Academy Trust, who are the admissions authority for the school.

Applications must be made through your home local authority. For Nottinghamshire residents, the application form can be found on the NCC website:

Applications must be submitted by the closing date for applications as stated in the Nottinghamshire co-ordinated scheme. The closing date for applications for a place in Reception in September 2026 is 15th January 2026. The offer of a place will be made by the Local Authority to all parents on the offer day set out in the co-ordinated scheme.

The published admission number for 2026-27 is 15 children. All applications for the Reception year will be ranked in accordance with the admission criteria as set out in the Admissions Arrangements below. Any additional information about special circumstances or a Supplementary Information Form must be emailed to the school office by 15th January 2026 (office@kneesall.notts.sch.uk). Any applications received after 15th January 2026 will be added to the waiting list for places.

 

School participates in Nottinghamshire County Council’s in-year coordinated scheme and all applications for in-year school places should be made directly to Nottinghamshire County Council.  Information about how to apply and the timescale for processing applications is available at Changing school in-year | Nottinghamshire County Council

 

Right of Appeal

 

Under the terms of the School Admissions Appeals Code 2012, if you apply for and are refused a place at Kneesall C of E Primary Academy, you have the right to appeal.

Admission Appeals at SNMAT academies are managed by Nottinghamshire County Council Appeals Team, who provide an independent appeals process. Appeals at SNMAT academies will be heard by an Independent Appeals Panel in accordance with the School Admissions Code 2014, The School Admissions Appeals Code 2012 and Part 3 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998.

The school operates a Waiting List for its intake year group in partnership with Nottinghamshire LA. This is kept and prioritised following the oversubscription criteria until the end of the autumn term.

Children with a statement of Special Educational Needs or Education Health and Care Plan that names the Academy will be admitted.
