Head Teacher's Welcome

It is my privilege and pleasure to be the headteacher of Kneesall C of E Primary Academy. We are a small, rural church school and I am delighted to welcome you here. As you browse through the different pages, I hope you get a flavour of who we are and what we represent. I would encourage you to read our newsletters (they're packed with information about what's happening in school) and view our class pages (where information for each class can be found) in order to find out more about school life within our community.

Our biggest strengths and, coincidentally, school values are: kindness, faith and courage. These are evident in all we do as staff and children. We are fortunate to have an experienced, dedicated and skilled body of staff who - most importantly - know our children well. Friendship groups, routines, parents and life events are all known, celebrated and are encouraged to flourish here at Kneesall. This is because we value each and every child, created in God's image, to ensure they reach their fullest potential.

We are blessed with our unique geography; tucked away in the rolling Nottinghamshire countryside, you'd be forgiven for not seeing our school from the main road that runs through Kneesall. As a school, we have served our village for more than one hundred and fifty years. As such, we realise the central role school plays within our wider community. From PTA organised 'Film Nights' to Christmas Services at our local church, St. Bartholomew’s, we understand the importance of our heritage and seek to embrace it through taking an active role within our community.

During the school day we encourage our children to care for each other, for their community and for the world in which they live. Their spiritual, moral, cultural and social development is as important to us as their academic attainment. To do this, we provide each child with a secure environment to flourish academically, socially and spiritually. Sitting alongside this offer is a rich and meaningful curriculum which sets out to educate the ‘whole’ child and creates opportunities for all to experience success.

I'm convinced Kneesall is a special place; I feel it and see it every day that I am here. From children to staff, parents to governors, we are all working in the same direction and I would love the opportunity to show you our school in action.
