There is a wealth of support and information available for parents to help with things like childcare, healthy lifestyles and child development. Nottinghamshire County Council’s Families Information Service provides valuable information for parents and carers to support them in their parenting role.
Through the virtual family hub on Notts Help Yourself, families can find information and links to services and support on a whole range of topics:
• guidance on parenting challenges and child development
• healthy lifestyles
• activities to do at home and in the community
• information on different types of childcare and the funding options that may be available to help with their childcare costs. For example, families accessing breakfast, after school and holiday clubs may be able to get help towards these costs.
The aim is to reach as many parents and carers as possible to let them know about these resources and how they can help with family lives.
